Attendance Matters

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE 🌞
Why is it important?
We all want our students to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE 🌞
If students miss school regularly, they miss out on learning the fundamental skills that will set them up for success in the later years of school.
There is no safe number of days for missing school – each day a student misses puts them behind and can affect their educational outcomes. Children are expected to arrive at school no earlier than 8:45 am, unless there are arrangements in place for your child to go to Elysium Before School Care.

LATE ARRIVALS 🌞
In an effort to have the children settled and ready for their day, it is important, when possible, for students to arrive prior to the 9 am bell.
The late arrival of students inhibits the beginning of a productive morning at school and the loss of valuable lesson time for the entire class. Please help us to keep the morning lessons on track, by ensuring your child is not late to school.

ALL late arrivals after 9 am must first come through the office to collect a late pass - this is to ensure that the student's attendance is corrected on the roll. We ask that parents do not enter classrooms during lesson time, if there is a matter you would like to discuss with your child's teacher you are welcome to message them directly on Seesaw and they will endeavor to respond as soon as time allows, or speak to the Office to make an appointment.

END OF THE SCHOOL DAY 🌞
Students are to be collected NO later than 3:45 pm, unless there are arrangements in place for your child to go to Elysium After School Care.
