We pride ourselves on having high expectations in enforcing our uniform policy. Our uniform pieces are bright and comfortable and suit the active participation that we encourage in sport and playground activities. Kananook PS has a strict policy of compulsory uniforms. Uniform is a key component in building strong and positive school culture. We want children to be proud to wear the Kananook uniform. PSW has been selected by the School Council as the supplier of Kananook Primary School uniforms. PSW has a local retail store in Frankston and second-hand pieces are available at school.
The following items of clothing make up the Kananook Primary School uniform.
Students are expected to wear this uniform during school hours, while travelling to and from school and when students are engaged in out of school activities.
Commencing Term 1 2021 all students must wear only the approved uniform. Please pay particular attention to the items shown below, as no other pieces of clothing will be permitted. Do not hesitate to contact the school if you are having difficulty purchasing the approved items. Prep and Year 6 children may wear their commemorative t-shirts throughout the year.
Accessories such as ribbons, headbands and scrunchies must be royal blue or gold. Make-up, coloured nail polish, dangling earrings, jewellery, extreme hair fashions (i.e. colour, style and accessories) must not be worn. Scarves are not to be worn during school hours. Children with long hair must have it tied back.
Our uniform enables our students to create a sense of collective and individual pride in belonging to Kananook Primary School. It assists us in providing individual student safety and group security when travelling to and from school and on school excursions.
