Meet Merlin, Mr Crouch's 4-year-old Australian Shepard. Merlin comes to school a few days a week and the students love seeing him in the classroom and the schoolyard. Merlin has been coming to Kananook ever since he was a puppy!

Dogs offer unconditional love and support. They do not judge. They are known to lower blood pressure and anxiety, giving children the ability to talk.

They give permission for children to just be themselves.
