Performing Arts - Music


  • To provide a regular, progressive and developmental performing arts program for all children based on AusVELS and cross linked to classroom units of work (topics/concepts).
  • To develop an appreciation of music
  • To introduce the basic elements (pitch, duration, dynamics, tempo, tone, colour, texture/timbre, instrumentation, tonality, articulation) of music
  • To support student engagement and wellbeing through the performing arts


The Music component of The Arts has two dimensions:

  • Creating and making
  • Exploring and responding
